There is an expression that says you are what you think. We are all products of the sum of our thoughts. We are only limited by the ceiling we have set in our own minds. The way you imagine and see yourself (self-image) is crucial to your long-term success and happiness. Your behavior and the habits you develop are partly due to your thought patterns.
What is autosuggestion?
Autosuggestion is based on the concept that in order to change our behavior, characteristics or habits, we must first change our thinking. Autosuggestion is often used in self-improvement programs to achieve a specific goal, such as:

Your suggestions should be related to an outcome or goal that you desire. Positive statements that begin with the words I am can be very powerful indeed. This is because you are making a statement in the present that directly relates to you. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, you can use the following statements:
I'm getting slimmer every day.
I will lose 15 pounds.
I eat healthy every day.
I'm getting fitter and stronger.
I look better than ever.
Can autosuggestion work for me?
At first, autosuggestion will feel very foreign to you and you may feel a little silly, but stick with it. You also need to bring real conviction to your autosuggestion program and believe that it will really work for you. Practice autosuggestion every day and begin to see yourself as you want to be.

Autosuggestion can help you lose weight, but you also need a healthy diet and exercise program. Imagine yourself looking slim and healthy. Imagine intensely how you will feel and what you will wear. Build positive images in your mind, supported by positive suggestions in the form of affirmations. It will help you change your eating habits.
