The Butt Book: How to Build a Cellulite-Free, Fat-Free Butt in 9 Weeks Personal Review
If you're looking for an introduction to exercises for your butt and thighs, you could do a lot worse with The Butt Book: How to Build a Non-Cellulite, Fat-Free Butt in 9 Weeks.
In her book, Tosca Reno places great emphasis on nutrition and eating habits. Reno has a degree in science and one in education and wholeheartedly believes that clean foods build great glutes. She says: “80% is diet, 10% is exercise and 10% is genetics.”
She believes in quality foods like:
lean chicken, fish and egg whites in the protein department, fresh vegetables and fruits, brown rice, steel cut oats and lots of plain water….
I believe that Reno, due to his bodybuilding background, is biased towards eating six small meals daily rather than the norm of three larger meals.
As expected, Reno isn't a big fan of fast food. “Fast food creates fat asses,” says Reno.
“Oversized meals make for oversized butts,” she adds. “Eating large amounts of donuts, pastries, and fatty foods will make your butt look like those foods.” Soft and spongy!
“The Butt Book: How to Build a Non-Cellulite, Fat-Free Butt in 9 Weeks” also emphasizes the importance of exercise, although in my opinion not enough.
Reno emphasizes to her readers that cardio alone is not enough and that strength training should be an important part of your workout to reshape your body.
"Lift weights and lift more weights to build curves and muscle in the right places," she says.
“Weight training carves curves from fat and sculpts butt like no other exercise program.”
"Pushing your buns tightly with each step will add nice definition and tone to your other end." So be sure to squeeze your butt while walking.
Although the book is recommended, I would prefer to view the exercises as photos rather than drawings and would rather see the entire sequence of a routine rather than just one exercise.
We know, or should know, that junk food and inactivity cause cellulite, and although some people are genetically predisposed to developing dimpled skin, she says the condition can be significantly reduced with a clean diet, exercise and plenty of fresh air and rest.
"Despite your genetics, you can reshape your butt to create what is known in the fitness industry as 'apple butt' – toned, round and fat-free," adds Reno.
In summary, I believe that if you want to get started on the path to losing cellulite, you should definitely purchase a copy of Tosca Reno’s“The Butt Book: How to Build a Cellulite-Free, Fat-Free Butt in 9 Weeks”!
