History of Pilates
Pilates was originally designed in the early 20th century by a German fitness specialist, Joseph Pilates. It is said that this type of training program was formulated by him so that people injured in World War II could recover faster. Pilates believed that the mind and body are connected and developed this system to strengthen "a healthy mind in a healthy body." He taught many Germans and British alike, and his students opened studios to teach these exercises.
Nowadays, many modern training methods are combined with traditional Pilates and new forms of Pilates are being introduced into many Pilates fitness classes. All of these classes follow almost the same principle and have the same advantages.
Who can do these exercises?
Pilates fitness programs are for everyone. Athletes, dancers, athletes, men, women, women in pregnancy and postnatal period, seniors, people with obesity and plus size can do these exercises. When choosing a Pilates fitness program, you should choose a quality gym that tailors the exercises to your needs. Many people avoid them and think that they have to be fit to take some classes. But that's not true. This is actually also suitable for people with limited mobility and joint pain as it improves activity levels.
Pilates for beginners
There are many fitness programs suitable for both beginners and advanced exercisers. Once you decide on a program, you should decide what type of program - whether individual, duet or group sessions - is right for you.
Even after enrolling in a class, a beginner should always keep five things in mind
• Centering
• Concentration
• Precision
• Steering
• Respiratory flow
These are the basic principles of all Pilates exercises, regardless of the equipment used. Pilates involves the whole body and mind, and when you start doing these exercises, the focus is brought to the whole body. This not only helps to perform the exercise effectively, but also helps the body get used to each individual movement. Although these are the basics, a beginner will know much more when enrolling in a Pilates fitness program.
As a beginner, you don't have to worry about adaptability as it is a beginner-friendly fitness program.
