It may be a new year, but Chrishell Stause is keeping up with her workouts with NASM-certified personal trainer and CEO of Power 8, Ocho.
The pair have been training together for two years and Ocho just shared a look at one of the Selling Sunset star's recent training sessions. “New year, new goals,” Ocho wrote in the caption of his post. "Me & @chrishell.stause have been locked up for two years now and still building."
In a series of clips, Stause does five exercises in an olive green workout set and white sneakers. She alternates between bodyweight exercises and moves that require dumbbells and a resistance band for a home-friendly, total-body workout. In the post's final video, Stause's partner, Australian musician G Flip, joins her on a mat for a couples core workout moment.
“Every single session is a full-body workout,” Ocho previously told Shape. They usually do high-intensity workouts, he added.
Stause begins the training series with a compound lunge exercise. With a dumbbell in each hand, she does a pendulum lunge. She steps forward with her left leg, holding the position in her lower body as she extends her arms forward for a single press. Then it goes back to the starting position before she steps back with her left leg and repeats the movement after landing a reverse lunge.
Next, the reality TV star does some speed work for a cardio burst. In a wide stance with her knees slightly bent, she takes quick steps on the spot for a few strokes. She then leaps high into the air and brings her knees to her hands for a brief bounce before touching down from the explosive plyometric move.
Your Guide to Plyometrics
In the clip below, Stause holds a low push-up while a dog watches nearby. Her toes are slightly wider than hip-width apart while her palms are under her shoulders. Instead of striking a traditional plank pose, her elbows are bent diagonally, as if she were lowering her body into a push-up and simply stopping halfway. It's clearly a challenging move for Stause - her biceps visibly quiver in the video before she finally drops to her stomach for a break. Then she's back on her feet and doing squat jumps with a pair of shorts Resistance band wrapped around her ankles. From one While standing, she jumps her feet to the side and lowers herself into a squat, bending her knees, which go directly over her toes. She then jumps her feet back together while maintaining tension in the band. Finally, she stands upright before beginning another repetition.
Lastly, there's a dynamic core move that Stause performs on a mat on the floor next to G Flip, who she's been dating ever since 2021. With her right leg she floats just a few centimeters above the ground, Stause bends her left knee and pulls it to her chest. At the same time, with her hands behind her head, she rotates her torso to bring her right elbow to her left knee and keep her shoulders off the floor. She lowers her upper body and legs to the mat and then begins the movement again on the opposite side. Meanwhile, she and G Flip move in unison and nail the hard splitter crunch together.
