Kate Hudson understands that a key element of happiness is exercise. Case in point: The 43-year-old actress recently took to Instagram to share a look at one of her workouts and express how good exercise feels.

Hudson posted a series of photos of herself working out with Tracy Anderson's MyMode device. She wears a light green sports bra and matching sweatpants with her blonde hair in a ponytail.

“Exercise puts you in a good mood 🫧,” she writes in the caption of her post. “Try it 😉 And don’t forget the Happy Vibe Smoothie to support this whole bubbly situation!”

In case you were wondering, Hudson also revealed the inside scoop on her "Happy Vibe Smoothie" in the post. It contains nut butter, wild blueberries, goji berries, homemade oat milk, and green protein powder from her supplement brand INBLOOM, according to the caption and a photo on the second-to-last slide of the carousel.

If you're curious about the wooden box and stick Hudson uses in her recent photos, these are part of Tracy Anderson's latest innovation: the MyMyode training device. It includes props made primarily from environmentally conscious wood, such as a stepping platform, weights, a stick and resistance counters.

The box stores all the accessories and acts as a balancing tool. It features a multi-directional base to attach the wand to, allowing users to practice dynamic movements and test their flexibility with a solid base. Hudson demonstrates this in slide six of her Instagram post.

What is more important: flexibility or mobility?

She's not the only celebrity reaping the benefits of the new exercise machine. In October 2022, Tracee Ellis Ross shared a clip using the MyMode device on Instagram. ICYDK, she's been a long-time devotee of the Tracy Anderson Method, as have fellow celebrities Gwyneth Paltrow and Tia Mowry.

In addition to this machine, Hudson is a fan of many other workouts. She has shown off her Pilates skills and shown off her strength training exercises on social media. The actress also enjoys using her Tonal machine for at-home workouts, attending SLT classes (a Pilates-inspired workout studio that uses the Megaformer), and hitting up Barry's, she told Shape in November 2022.

As for whether exercise can really make you happier, Hudson is definitely on the lookout. Exercise stimulates the production of endorphins (also known as feel-good hormones), which can help you reduce stress and ward off anxiety and depression.

"Although it may seem counterintuitive, increasing heart rate can reverse stress-induced brain functions," Joanne Frederick, LPC, a licensed mental health counselor based in Washington, DC, previously told Shape. “Exercise is a mood enhancer and has been scientifically proven to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression,” she added.

No matter how you like to move, take a page from Hudson's book and enjoy the soothing benefits of a little exercise.
