Turning on Netflix might signal to you that it's time to relax, but the streaming platform is changing things. The same app that you use to enjoy your favorite TV shows and movies is now home to Nike Training Club workouts.
For the uninitiated, Nike Training Club is an app that offers all kinds of workout videos and thoughtful programs that users can follow anywhere. It offers hundreds of free workouts for different fitness levels, including bodyweight training, yoga classes, and full-equipment exercises.
The best home workout apps you can download now
As part of a new collaboration, Netflix is currently running five Nike Training Club programs, each with multiple episodes (workouts). They're available across all Netflix plans in 10 languages with a range of workout types, lengths and intensities. According to a press release, the new content includes more than 30 hours of practice sessions that will be released in two batches throughout 2023.
Right now, you can stream programs focused on fitness fundamentals, core strength, vinyasa yoga, and high-intensity training (HIT). Each program includes six to 13 episodes that you can watch on your TV, laptop or smartphone - as long as you have the Netflix app downloaded to your device.
First and foremost is a program called Kickstart Fitness with the Basics. It includes bodyweight strength training and aerobic exercises that are intended to be done three times a week for a month for beginners, as described in a Netflix blog post.
There's also Two Weeks to a Stronger Core, a series aimed at targeting core muscles through HIT, bodyweight exercises and yoga moves. As the name suggests, the videos are set up so that users can complete them in two weeks with three workouts per week.
Fall in Love with Vinyasa Yoga is a two-week Vinyasa yoga program that requires only a mat. ICYDK, Vinyasa yoga is a style of yoga that involves flowing through a series of postures, with your breath tied to each movement. It's set to new-age and hip-hop music for low-impact workouts taught by Brandon Collinsworth and Jonah Kest.
For something more intense, try HIT & Strength with Tara. Led by instructor Tara Nicolas, this month-long program includes HIT and strength training that you can do without equipment. Follow the moves as rap, dance, electro, afrobeat and hip-up music plays in the background.

Finally, “Feel-Good Fitness” offers full-body workouts that you can do with dumbbells and resistance bands. Do strength and flexibility exercises three times a week for two weeks to pop, electronic and rap music.
The content is adapted for Netflix and features more than a dozen certified Nike trainers, including fan favorites like Kirsty Godso and Betina Gozo. All workouts require little to no equipment and are focused on expanding access to fitness, according to a press release.
