Planning the wedding was “so stressful,” the actress said. In addition to the usual pressure of organizing a ceremony and reception with a large group of friends and family, Lopez had the added weight of the past.
"I don't know if you know this, but 20 years ago we [Lopez and Affleck] were supposed to get married," she joked. “And that’s when everything fell apart,” she explained. "I actually had a little PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder]," Lopez continued, sharing that she wondered, "Is this really happening?"
One day, to calm her down, Affleck suggested the two go to Las Vegas and get married immediately, she said. "He said, 'Go to rehearsal, when you come back here I'll have everything prepared.'" And that was it. The couple married around midnight that evening at A Little White Wedding Chapel and about a month later they had their wedding in Georgia as planned.

While it seems like Lopez has it all together, she struggles sometimes, she told People at the premiere of her new film Shotgun Wedding.

“But the truth is, I’m like everyone else,” Lopez said. “Sometimes I struggle, sometimes I wonder, and sometimes I doubt and am unsure.”
