“2022 began with me diving into writing my book and my past,” she writes. “It ended with the satisfaction of my book reaching all of you and your reactions to it,” Porizkova continues, addressing her 964,000 Instagram followers. "In between there was a new life: traveling, modeling as an older woman and making new friends everywhere. A beautiful and perfect mix of new and old."

Porizkova is referring to her new book, a collection of essays aptly titled No Filter, published on November 15, 2022. ICYMI, the supermodel has been outspoken about topics such as aging, self-image and mental health in recent years, often taking to Instagram to share her feelings as well as realistic photos of herself.

“I make it a point to never use filters because that’s kind of my thing,” Porizkova said on a recent episode of Red Table Talk. "The amount of 'Hey, Grandma' I get...it hurts my ego a little bit," she continued. "But isn't that part of the beauty of getting older? That we gain more self-confidence because we know who we are.

Looking ahead to 2023, Porizkova hopes to let go of the past, she explains in her recent Instagram post. “The unknown before us is scary,” she says. "So scary that the pain of the past is preferable. That's what I want to overcome next. My fear of the unknown. To boldly go where I've never been before."

She concludes her caption with a call to accept what is to come in the new year. “This is about embracing change,” Porizkova writes. “Get wiser, get older, get braver.”
